2/15/11Greetings Polo Junkies! As most of you have come to realize, these have been hard economic
times. The cost of beer just keeps rising as well as salon services and fungal creams. I imagine it is easy to get depressed
as each day you wake from your dreams of dancing with Justin Bieber, pour yourself a bowl of generic Count Chocula and head
out the door for yet another dismal day in the life of a commoner. Does hope seem so far from the hovel inwhich you dwell?
Well a new day is dawning. It was about two weeks ago while playing a game of twister with my wife, as I do most mornings,
that it occurred to me that I should make a concerted effort to improve your conditions. As I have learned from my personal
life coach, Major Zumwalt, it is likely not within each of your capacities to resurrect yourselves from the quagmire of despair
the besets you but rather, hope and grace must be delivered to you. The bible says, "Blessed are the feet of the one
who brings good news", so you can start blessing my feet because I have some great news:1. Oxford polo will start March 11th and continue
until May 28th. See schedule below. On weekends that we play both Friday and Saturday, you can play either
day or both.2.

10/10/10 Readers Beware,BRAD
LIMEHOUSE IS A LIAR.... I have video footage and witnesses to prove myallegations. Let me say this first, as I set the context of his offence, I hold noanimosity toward his kin for the transgressions that be fault Brad. I am fully awarethat history tells of a beautiful, intelligent woman named Frankie
that set her eyes ona dashing southern gentleman
named Buck and set out to conquer him. Thoughsuccessful
in that endeavour to the point of matrimony, she could not champion theDMA that would one day produce the liar in question. She bore Buck 4 sons. One grewto be a senator, one manages the families hospitality business, one grew to overseethe family's exotic avian operations and one...BRAD proved to be a liar. As Meatloaf sang in that tearful ballad 3 out of 4 aint bad. It
was Sunday in a game at the Villages Polo Club. They have a rule there that if 4goals are scored in the 4th
chucker, then the entire stadium gets a free beer.
Did youhear me ...a FREE
BEER. I am playing against Brad and his two other malnourished,Appalachian, mouth breather brothers and we have 30 seconds left to play in the 4thchukker.
As I approach the penalty 4 awarded to me I realize that upon converting thisgoal we will have scored 4 goals in the 4th chukker resulting in FREE BEER. I quicklystrike a deal
with Brad to let me score this goal since we will both enjoy the fruits ofmy labour. He agrees and then proceeds to steal the ball from me, race to the otherend of the field and score for his team the big hero. Liar Liar Liar. I passed by
histrailer after the chukker to remind him of my
dissatisfaction with clearly understood sign language. Polo has been fantastic in Sept.
and early Oct. They Booster Party was a greatsuccess
with over 450 spectators to witness an exciting game where OxfordPolo beat Pro Materials by a narrow margin. We will host our next tournamentlate October so just like shampoo we will rinse and repeat.

7/12/10 Dear
Boys and Girts,Gather round and you shall hear the famous tale of summer at the Oxford Polo Club,it has been
so incredibly hot this summer. Lots of rain so great for the fields and allbut so hot I was hospitalized due to it. They have
yet to diagnose the problem but the symptoms of listening to the Jonas Brothers Cd over and over, acquiescing to the urge
to repel off the side of my bed and eating popcorn off the movie theatre floors continue. Dr. Carlos Zamora suggests that
I try a holistic treatment of Led Zeppelin, climbing up into the bed and searching for the illusive good n plenty when at
theatres. I must confess however the heat, rain, fertilizer, over seeding, slicing, mowing, vacuuming and praying have our
fields looking fantastic.Polo is just around the corner so here is what we will attempt this fall. OPCwill start Saturday
September 11, and continue until November 27. Saturday Sept. 11- SLOW CHUKKERS Saturday Sept. 18- CLUB POLO Saturday Sept.

oXFORD pOLO CLUB 1/1/10 Dear Polo Player, Ok...I am depressed. I
hate it when polo season is out. I just miss the routine, interaction with friends, adrenaline rush, the sound of Jack Russells
under a passing dual wheeled Ford F-350 turbo diesel. It just gets me down. Sure this time of year we celebrate the birth
of Christ, Gods gift to us, securing a eternal home with our creator forever in Heaven and yea ... champagne and fireworks
on the New Year...but no polo for 2 months? I find myself yet again at the refrigerator seeking a solace for my sorrows in
something made by Kraft. Maybe if I dwell on a few memories of the last season and a few dreams of the spring, I will abate
the impending drowning in the quagmire of despair. Memories. We
had an outstanding fall season with over 35 playing members, excellent polo, awesome bbqs, no cases of malaria or TB. Also
the creation of an Oxford Polo Club website (oxfordpoloclub.com) and a Face Book page. (I still don't get face book)
The joint adventure of the OPC and Powers Plantation tournament was a great way to end the season with 6 teams
in the event and me the big winner. Yes me, me, me. Dreams. The fields held up
very well and have been sanded, aerated, rolled and will be ready for the March opener in our Spring season. We will start
March 6 and play through the end of May. Our season should coincide well with our neighbour club The Villages as they will
start 2 weeks after us and end two weeks before. All those planning on playing at The Villages are welcomed to warm up at
Oxford Polo. I do hope to work a tournament per month into our Spring Season this year. More to come on this.
oXFORD pOLO CLUB 10/8/09 Dear Polo Player, A chilling Wind swept across the field as the ominous sound like thunder inthe distance grew steadily louder. Anxious chatter increased
as well among all ofus field side as each anticipated
the impending arrival. Some fought to quell thefear
that was rising in them while others of us abandoned all hope, fell into a fetalposition and began to mutter incoherent bantering about Othello and Jon and Kate+ 8. The blood curling scream of bearings in need of grease confirmed our darkestfears Fred Moerhing was back….. Fields
are holding up great after 6 weeks of play. Thank yous to all of you who took the time after games to walk, talk and stomp
divots. The good condition of our fields is welcomed news to the players rumored to make their grand entrance to OPC. On that
list are Oliver Butterworth, Susan Bekaert, Jim and Betina Stevens, Joy Rodak, Brian Thomas??? And why not little scaredy
pants Dardo Iglesias who promises that after he finishes the box of Count Chocula in his pantry he will bring a team to visit.
We will continue polo at OPC on Saturday mornings until the second weekend in December as the
Villages Polo Club is in full swing with games on Fridays and Sundays. Please email me NOW the dates you desire to participate
and the number of players coming with you so I can make teams and pair up !/2 teams with others who wear the same cologne.
Also help me get email addresses of others to join us here. Food for the next weeks by Brian Warwick, Greg Hinkson and Freddie
"Thunder Thighs" Moerhing. In Other News *Sally Moerhing has volunteered to take over our media exposure. Her duties will beto update the website, take photos and disperse results to other media outlets.Proudly she has already got a article on OPC published in the
October issue of the Sumter County Rural Farmers Crop Report.
*The fall season at OPC will continue in October and November
with games playedevery Saturday. This will be 4
chukker, 2-4 goal polo. Playing polo only on Saturdays will allow OPC members to participate in events planned at The VillagesPolo Club should they so choose.

9/20/09 Dear Polo Player, Tip of the month…Murphy’s Law
applies to computers. Mine put up a lightning rod and was obliged by God of its request. $1,500.00 and a 2 week long surgery
to put the contents of one hard drive into the new candidates’ frame and presto…Septembers’ Newsletter
becomes a recap of the months activities. Fields are looking great and the weather compliant
enough for us to play each Saturday and Sunday in September. Thanks to all for the overwhelming involvement of all our players
as we have enjoyed 5 and now 6 teams worth of players, steak, chicken, lamb, sausage and all the sides for three very excellent
BBQ’S. Animal Planets visit to our club was an awesome success. They obtained some great footage of our club and Greg
Hinkson and I will let you all know the date it will be aired on National TV. I am planning a shrimp boil this coming weekend
for our Strawberry eating friends from Plant City who we intend to educate them in the many “fundamentals
of how to get whooped in polo and still not cry publicly.” After
this last weekend of polo in September, we will continue polo at OPC on Saturday mornings as the Villages Polo Club is scheduled
to start their fall season. Enough of you have indicated to me that you intend to continue playing however to fully organize
I need to get an exact number of participants. Please email me NOW the dates you desire to participate and the number of players
coming with you so I can make teams and pair up ½ teams with others in their phylum.

Dear
Polo Player, Since I was never strong in math I have been practicing a certain equation:Fertilizer +
Water = Mowing. Mowing - Hat = Sunburn. Sunburn + Aloe = backrub. Fields are looking great so the time has come to put your
water wings on and jump in or step away from the pool. I need to know your intentions concerning participation at OPC this
fall so that I can begin to organize. Perhaps pop me back a quick one liner. So far most respondents are coming with a partial
team and have indicated for me to just place them with other players. This will work out fine and means we will all end up
playing some weekends with each other and the next against. The rosters so far include: Moran Clan, Lyall's
Lair, Fredericks Flock, Pascarella's Pack, Butterworth's Bunch, Hinksons Hoard, Meathead's Minions, Limehouse's House, Reyes'
Ranks, A Zamora and my three heelers. CALL, WRITE OR EMAIL BACK SOON SO WE CAN MAKE A SCHEDULE!

7/14/09 Dear Polo Player, Just when I was beginning
to think that Al Gore may be right and Florida is going to burn up in record heat...the summer rains came.
Now, after renovating and fertilizing the fields, all we do at the Oxford Polo Club is mow grass. The fields
are looking great reminding us it is time to organize our fall polo plans. I hope yours will include OPC. Our spring season taught us many lessons. Most of them were excellent recipes for the great
food we had after every game. With the success of the spring season (over 30 players) let's plan to repeat
that format in the fall. Here are the details. Let's have 4 Chukker 4 Goal Polo every
Saturday and Sunday in September and play at times when the
heat will not be a factor. Late Saturdays with food afterwards and early Sundays. Look at your calendars
and reserve the days you would like to play. You can play on both days if you choose. This format will
require you to mail/phone in your chukkers in advance so the simple minded can organize everything. You
can bring your own team or ask to be placed on one but either way... well in advance. Name Number of Players Sept. 5-6
